Zurvive the Night - A Choose Your Own Adventure Story

After researching effective storytelling and interactive modes of communication, I fell in love with the idea of creating my own interactive "choose your own adventure" story. Using my Playstation 3 and the game Little Big Planet, I created a short animation involving a mad scientist and zombies. I then spliced the animation into smaller segments and uploaded the different video segments into Youtube. I finished my creation by utilizing the annotation feature to allow viewers the choice of where to go next once each clip finishes.

The Gray - An Audio Drama Podcast

This podcast was an exercise in using sound and words to describe a color. Rather than simply describing a color, I chose to create an original story about an apocalyptic event called "The Gray" to help viewers understand multiple aspects of this dull color. I have created podcasts before, but my personal challenge this time was to utilize more aspects of sound in order to fully immerse my viewers into the environment of the story.

Caching In - Informative Media for Microlearning

Microlearning is a technique that I have started to explore in my content creations. Creating experiences that allow users to gain small bursts of information on their own time was the goal of this dual project. The video gives viewers a 30 second preview into what geocaching is and the website provides information on how to get started via clickable interactive elements.

Stranded on Mars - Robotics Exploration

This design challenge introduced my team and me to the world of Cubelets and Moss Robots - programmable block robots. Our mission was to create a Mars rover that would navigate the hazardous terrain and rescue our stranded astronaut. Once the mission was complete, we completed a press release to announce our story.

Coding in the Curriculum

Coding in the Curriculum

This project introduced me into the world of programing and coding through the use of a computer program called Processing. It is a compilation of mini-projects that showcase my coding skills through animation and game element designs.
